Econofísica e a economia
An integrated python-based open-source Digital Image Correlation Software for in-plane and out-of-plane measurements (Part 2)
Funding Information: The authors would like to acknowledge Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT-MCTES) throughout the project PTDC/EMD-EMD/1230/2021 (AneurysmTool) and UIDB/00667/2020 (UNIDEMI) and the support provided by the Brazilian Government funding agencies CAPES, Brazil , FAPERJ, Brazil and CNPq, Brazil . Publisher Copyright: © 2022 The AuthorsThis work presents an out-of-the-box python-based open-source 3D Digital Image Correlation (3D-DIC) software for both in-plane and out-of-plane full-field measurements, denoted by iCorrVision-3D. The software includes an integrated stereo grabber for image acquisition, stereo calibration, numerical stereo correlation and post-processing modules. The main objective is to provide a complete integrated 3D-DIC system for users. All important DIC setting parameters can be easily controlled by the user from an intuitive graphical interface. For instance, the interpolation strategy and correlation techniques that are usually not open for users are available for modifications in iCorrVision-3D. The proposed software can be used in a great number of applications in engineering. Results indicated that the iCorrVision-3D software is robust and accurate in reconstructing the 3D shape of objects and in evaluating the out-of-plane full-field displacement of specimens being tested.publishersversionpublishe

Centrality anomalies in complex networks as a result of model over-simplification
Tremendous advances have been made in our understanding of the properties and
evolution of complex networks. These advances were initially driven by
information-poor empirical networks and theoretical analysis of unweighted and
undirected graphs. Recently, information-rich empirical data complex networks
supported the development of more sophisticated models that include edge
directionality and weight properties, and multiple layers. Many studies still
focus on unweighted undirected description of networks, prompting an essential
question: how to identify when a model is simpler than it must be? Here, we
argue that the presence of centrality anomalies in complex networks is a result
of model over-simplification. Specifically, we investigate the well-known
anomaly in betweenness centrality for transportation networks, according to
which highly connected nodes are not necessarily the most central. Using a
broad class of network models with weights and spatial constraints and four
large data sets of transportation networks, we show that the unweighted
projection of the structure of these networks can exhibit a significant
fraction of anomalous nodes compared to a random null model. However, the
weighted projection of these networks, compared with an appropriated null
model, significantly reduces the fraction of anomalies observed, suggesting
that centrality anomalies are a symptom of model over-simplification. Because
lack of information-rich data is a common challenge when dealing with complex
networks and can cause anomalies that misestimate the role of nodes in the
system, we argue that sufficiently sophisticated models be used when anomalies
are detected.Comment: 14 pages, including 9 figures. APS style. Accepted for publication in

The Fight against Administrative Improbity for the Guarantee of the Human Right to Water
The article aims to present the connection between acts of administrative improbity and the current difficulty for the universalization of water and basic sanitation, which is one of the 17 objectives of Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development. First, an analysis is made of the Human Rights approach in the Brazilian legal system, moving on to an explanation of how these are applied in the reality of the country. And through the documental analytical methodology, it shows the importance of the right to water and sanitation, besides addressing the problems faced by these rights. Finally, the concept of administrative improbity is presented, discussing the definition, modalities and ways of fighting it, and in this last point, the importance of implementing the right to water and sanitation, as well as other human rights. NEW RECORD OF CARCHARHINUS LEUCAS IN AN AMAZONIAN RIVER SYSTEM
ABSTRACTCarcharhinus leucas is a cosmopolitan shark species in tropical and subtropical waters. Normally, individuals are found in most of the major rivers in the world but records in the Amazon basin are somewhat scarce. Here we provide a new record of a young of the year female bull shark caught in Cametá (PA) as bycatch of the bottom longline fi shery, weighing 8 kg and measuring 90 cm total length. The Brazilian Amazon coast and its freshwater systems are one of the only areas where records of small young of the year and juveniles exist for the Atlantic Ocean on the Neotropical region. Therefore, this information is important to direct future research on habitat use and reproductivepatterns for the species in this region, since this could be a crucial area for the species conservation. Palavras-chave: Tubarão cabeça-chata; Bacia do rio Tocantins; Região Neotropical
Tourism and the port-city relationship: the experience of Santos (Brazil)
The City of Santos always had its development closely linked to its port vocation. From cargo to passengers, the development of foreign trade and the city and region have transformed the Port of Santos the largest in Latin America. During this period, the relationship between City and Port had many moments, not always in harmony. The urban expansion restricted the port and its activity affected the city. This detachment has limited the growth of tourist activity in Santos and region, even though the Cruise tours have included the Port of Santos in their itinerary for several decades. What is being done to improve the tourism and recover the identity of the city’s port is the objective of this article, which makes a brief historical account about the relationship between the City and Port of Santos, and its current developments.Peer Reviewe
